APC EGT questions

Alright. I bought a EGT guage and supposedly it came with all hardware. Well it arrived today and it just has 2 harnesses, no probe. So I was wondering if anyone has seen these guages before and know where i can find a probe and what all these wires go to.


Can anyone here help me out?
By the way, i didnt pay much for the guage, so I'm not out much money.

Well after looking at some websites i came up with an idea. The big plug has a power (+12vdc) Ground, a white and a yellow. I think if i buy this probe kithttp://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=006&item=160016633545&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&rd=1 it has 2 wires which you can slice into. Then the other harness just goes to the color box, which just changes the color of the backlight. If i hard wire this into my dimmer switch it should work, and just splice that probe into the guage harness that should work also.
If anyone has any different ideas feel free to post, as I'm interested in new ideas.
