Ok, this is a desperate attempt, because I am 99% sure, I'm screwed on this one.

I have been trying to get my Eclipse up to par, so I boost leaked the fawk out of it, I finally got all of them out (rebuilt TB, T-bolt clamps where normal clamps wouldn't hold, EGR block-off, new OEM PCV, etc.) So I put in some new BPR7ES's and performed a compression check.... here we go.

Cyl 1: 85 (intial) 145 (max build up)
Cyl 2: 70 (intial) 120 (max build up)
Wet tested: 95 (inital) 200 (max build up)
Cyl 3: 90 (intial) 150 (max build up)
Cyl 4: 90 (intial) 150 (max build up)

Is there ANYTHING I can do to repair just cyclinder 2 without doing a full motor tear down, or taking the motor apart at all for that matter? Is there any kind of additive that I can use to bring the compression up?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks guys.

Ouch! I'd run a leakdown test before you do anything else to isolate if it's the rings. If it does turn out to be rings, you might as well re-ring all four instead of just one. After all, if you have to get into the bottom end, there's no point in half-assing it.

A real bandaid solution would be to run 20W-50 and see if the thicker oil will bump it up on that cylinder, but the big issue is that it will still lag behind all of the other cylinders compression wise.

Let us know what leakdown testing shows,

Andy
