Cage install

Should be tackling my 8 point cage project soon and have a question. On the 1g's floor there is strength beads (http://www.mckeone.net/photos/cage/P9070001.JPG). When welding my base plates how should I do it? Should i weld strips between the valleys? Should i pound the valley down (i wouldn't want to)? or something else?

Doing the cage install you should weld between the valleys. Dont pound them down.

Okay, also, in my S&W 8 point cage the back two bars run from the hoop to the strut tower. This seems particularly hard to do. In another cage install they added a bar between the two strut towers and had the bars ran from the hoop to the bar (http://www.mckeone.net/photos/cage/P9170002.JPG) Do you see problems with doing something similar without crossing the tubes? (terrible paint diagram)
