ok so i just finished installing my electric autometer oil pressure gauge its wired like this

Oil pressure sender unit----------------------------------------------Oil Pressure Gauge
Blue Radio harness wire---------- -------------------------------------Inline Fuse--------+Oil pressure gauge
Then for a ground i just ground it to a bolt behind the a pillar i then spliced the light ground into this same wire
The last wire i need to hook up is the power wire to the light the gauge is the lowest one on the a pillar i want the light to turn on when i turn my lights on and i want it to dim with with my dash lights ??? where would be the best place to run the power wire to gauge light be from ?

Also when i install my boost gauge can i just splice my ground wire again and the splice then same power wire i use for my oil pressure gauge???

Also how tight or far in should the Oil pressure sender unit be screwed in and do you have to use teflon tape because i didnt

I don't know about the dimming question, but as far as the sending unit, I can tell you it's best to remote mount it so it doesn't go bad, especially if it's an autometer kit. I did so on mine and it works like a champ. I mounted it by the power steering fluid container.

For using the lights and dimming for power, I just tapped into the light power wires for the Cigarette Lighter light ring.

Ok i ran the light power wire to the cigarette light power wire and the gauge illuminates with when i turn my lights on but it doesent dim when turn the dim knob why is this ??? And can i splice the same power wire used for my oil pressure gauge and power the light in my boost gauge or will i pop my fuse if i try and draw that much

Not sure why it isn't diming, unless that point isn't linked to the dimmer. As far as hooking up both gauges, it shouldn't be a problem. I wired both gauges together at the A-Piller, then ran the + and - wires to the cigarette lighter switch. Crappy picture I know, but it will do to make the point.

Maybe it doesent dim because it has to be ground with the cigarette lighter wire ground and i ground mine to a bolt behind the a pillar
