have a brick on the gas pedal?
:tease: .....nah i just had a bunch of shit on the floor cause it was being stored.. im just worried about the smoke issue why would it smoke that muchWTF i mean the engine was completly cold so its not like oil would be buring off unless some got passed the seals from the pressure since oil pressure is high as f*** on a cold start:confused:

The rings probably haven't seated completely. I bet its ok. Was it bouncing off the rev limiter?

yep LOL (the compression check turned out fine:thumb: i got like 174 across so i think the rings should be good by now only standard material not chromemoly or nothin like that) im just curious about the smoke WTF

Every engine I have built will smoke slightly on the first few times it is started because I always lube the cylinders down with oil as I am putting the pistons. in Though that step is skipped by allot of builders I prefer to do it since I do not know for sure whether that engine will sit for a time before it is broken in. Depending on how long the engine sits and how sparingly I lube the cylinders it has taken as much as 1000 miles before the smoke is completely gone. Though the first engine I built I thought I had done something wrong, I was so pissed I tried to blow it up. Revved to the redline and kept there until it quit smoking. 10 minutes later the smoke was gone and that engine is still running today 4 years later.

The point of this is that unless you notice a dip in compression, some sort of internal knock, metal shavings in your oil filter, or bad oil pressure then your engine is probably fine. The smoke is probably from some oil that got down in the cylinders while it sat. Has the smoke gone away yet. If so then you should be fine.
