Are there any homes fixes for turbo lag or do I need to take it in and get a full tune-up

Ok Im assuming your stock because you have not filled out your vehicle profile.
You have the 14B under your hood which should fully spool by 2800 RPM's and reach a maximum of 11-12 lbs of boost.
What is your car doing?
Possible problems Exhaust leak at the manifold to head gasket, or a leak at the turbo to manifold gasket. Your wastegate flapper could be stuck open just a pinch also.
You could have a boost leak as well. These are where I would start looking. If you need more info on how to check just ask.
