CEL Code What could it be??

Hi everyone, i started up my car this morning and the cel light came on. I went to autozone and got it scanned with obdii. The scanner read p0300(random/multiple cylinder misfire detected) I just changed the spark plug wires (ngk 8.5mm from RRE about 2 weeks) and spark plug (bosch? from autozone about 1 month old) What could be cause the misfiring and how could i fix it? Any help will be appreciated!!

This same exact thing happened to me when I installed my NGK wires. I ended up buying different spark plugs, the NGK BPR7ES. They run a bit cooler than stock. Ive had mine in for a year with no problems at all.

Yeah, I recommend using NGK BPR7ES if you plan to raise boost, or BPR76ES if you plan to stay near stock boost levels.

The NGK BPR7ES and NGK BPR6ES are the best know and proven plugs for dsms. Just about every dsm owner I know who has replaced their plugs replaced them with NGK BPR7ES or NGK BPR6ES.

As for the codes pull the plugs see if the plugs are still in good condition. If they appear bad replace them with a pair of NGK plugs. I had the same code last year when my wires went bad. I took them back since they have a lifetime warranty, replaced the plugs since one of them went bad as wells. I suspect one of your wires went bad have them changed for free since most wires do have a lifetime warranty.

Get rid of the Bosch plugs.
Make sure to gap your new NGK BPR6ES plugs to 0.028"

do u know if its a lean or rich misfire? well first off did u make sure the plugs were gapped correctly? make sure the wires arent broken and grounding out to the valve cover or something like that.
