Anyone have info on these cams? I hear they will be a little cheaper than HKS and will have potential for an extra 30whp. Anyone have feedback as to when they will be available?

Or should I just buy HKS?

How do I decide between 272 and 264? My car will primarily be used for Time Trials (road courses) but I will take it to the drag strip one every couple of weeks.

I will be running my stock 14b for now on 750's and the AEM EMS in Speed Density mode with the SBR Race FMIC and the SBR Exhaust mani...

Noone has feeback on this? My tuner is suggesting I get the Cams before he gets to work otherwise he will have to take the car back to the dyno once I get the Cams... so the setup is on hold until I purchase the Cams.

i personally will be getting a set of fp cams once i get to that point in my mod list, havent desided which trim though yet

Go Forced Performance if you have any worries... they have a good name, have been proven time and time again, and are also cheaper than HKS.

How do I decide between 272/272, 264/264, 272/264 or 264/272? My main goal is an all around car. In other words, I want very fast spool and fast acceleration coming out of corners, but I do not want to tally discard the car as a drag strip car either (as I will be going there about once a week. This car is not driven other than to the track and at the track so driveability and gas mileage are not a concern at all.

Can anyone point me in the direction of which combo to get?

264/264 is what we call the "street combo"

264/272 is what we call the "a street combo that makes more torque" A lot of dsm'ers have run this combo with great results and keep the car a daily driver.

272/272 is what we call "a race combo" but remember that these don't idle as well as a stock or smaller cam. I had 272's in a daily driver back in the day and was very happy with them, but the idle was rough.

Today i run Comp 101200's. They work great for me and they were lower priced in comparison to purchasing another set of 272's.

I apologize as i haven't ran the GSC DSM cams as of yet. There evo cams seem to be working well in some of my customers cars.

Hope this helps!

You're trying to build a good hill-climbing Jeep that will also float well. A drag car built to be grunty through a road course will be compromised at both.

Closed for bumping.
