I was wondering why DSMlink is way more popular than ECU+ that i can find on MachV. Everybody is talking about dsmlink and many of you guys are using it, there's no doubt is a great product. But i have a 97 GST and i need a 95 EPROM ECU with is kid of hard to me to find it local and still need the stocking service. If im not mistaken ECUplus is compatible with my computer it has a plug and play harness and has the very same funcions than dsmlink and i even think that the software is even more user friendly. It also has more things than dsmlink like built in dyno and stuff. But i dont hear anyone using it and why? Why is everybody using dsmlink over ecu+?

Please need your help, im spending over $600 on it, help me make the best decision or should i only get a logger and keep my AFC ? I realy dont like the idea of finding a 95 ecu...

I haven't heard anything from ECU+. However, I have a DSMLINK myself and its the single best mod I ever did. It is just amazing. I would go with the DSMLINK without even thinking about it LOL.

ok But why should i choose dsmlink over ecu+?
what does dsmlink has that ecu+ dosent?
for me ECU+ its easies,
its bolt on harness.
No need for 95 ecu
controls fuel and timing
datalogging
etc...

Well from what I read on MachV's site it looks like the ECU+ is still just a piggyback tuner. Meaning it manipulates the airflow and CAS signals to trick the ECU into a desired operating range. DSMlink is just about as close to a full standalone as you can get without having to wire one in. DSMlink will probably end up giving finer control over most points while being slightly costlier for you being a non-95 car. For the average user both products would be a good choice. I of course will forever preach about how great a tool DSMlink is. I used to use a Keydiver chip with 550 compensation and went from that to DSMlnk with 550 compensation and the car ran better. Not knocking Jeff O because he is a great guy and his chips have helped a lot of people get great results but DSMlink is an entirely different animal, I would never use anything else for tuning my car after using it.

I have a friend selling his dsmlink setup + chipped ecu for $725 It will probably sell quickly so contact me asap if your interested.
