I'm not sure why I'm having such a difficult time seperating the 2 sections of the turbo. On these Tdo5h's, they are only held on by that V-band clamp, right? Just unbolt that small screw, seperate the clamp and the turbine housing should pull straight out, shouldn't it? I've tried at it for a while, prying it with a flat-head and mallet. Am I missing something? I have a 14b that is giving me the same issue. Suggestions appreciated.

carefully smack it with a hammer a couple times. They get hot and hot metal expands so it will be difficult.

I just had to separate my 14b today. I took a flat-blade screwdriver and drove it between the center cartridge and the exhaust housing. Just a couple good blows from a hammer or even a big wrench and it should let go.

Tap it lightly with a hammer until it comes loose and it will. Don't hit it too hard to have the housing pop off and damage the turbine, just be patient with it.
