Cigarette lighter

Hi, my cigarette lighter stopped working a few days ago, and i thought that the fuse had blown, but i changed the fuse and still nothing has happened, any ideas? Thanks.

Is it the "lighter" part of the lighter that doesn't work, or is it the socket itself? If you plug in an accessory to the outlet, does it work? Mine I sometimes had to twist it a little to get the connections right.

If it's the lighter itself, then you can replace the filament. It's a pretty common part, you should be able to find a new element at most any auto parts store I imagine.

checking for juice @ the socket is the best place to start.

dont mean to drag this up again, but i did a search and this was my best find. Anyways, my cig lighter isnt working either, the lighter part doesnt, and neither do my accesories (radar detector, phone charger) I just got the car and no wiring has been tampered with, i checked for power in the wires and they're fine, and the light does work at night, fuses are all good too. This is my second 2g that this has happened to and i never got around to fixing the first one. so any other ideas? i really just want it fixed and might end up takin it to the dealer. any help is appreciated
