What's up with the 2.4L

I looked in the FAQ for posts but found nothing, so if there are already posts out there for this just point me in the right direction. I hear about this 2.4L block that some are using in our cars now, and was just wondering where they're getting the extra .4L from. Is this a stroker motor, or a donor from another car, and if from another car, how is it that this block would match all the bolt patterns and all that for our heads,etc. Is this a motor from the srt4 or what's the deal?

The 2.4 comes from a lot of cars, glant, might max, 2G NT spyder, sonata,... You obviously didn't search to hard. Tyoe in 2.4L and this is what pops up:

its not a stroker. if youre looking for a 2.4l 6 bolt turbo do a search on g4cs or just read the first post lunchbox posted
