please let it be clutch problems

ok just need help really quick, i have notice my clutch slippin about 3 months ago in higher gears going about 70 mph. time went by, gotten worse. I wanted to change it but something always came up, Anyways, now its getting worse it never grinded as i went from 1st into 2nd.... Now, as i shift into 2nd gear. it grinds. I hope that this is just because of a clutch and nothing else. Any comments on what it can be?. thanks.

did you check the clutch slave and master cylinders? does the pedal feel a little spongy? check those things, i'd be willing to bet it's one or the other, or maybe even both.

well the slave master cyc. was replaced a few months back as well as two "rusted lines" i was told from the shop which cost me $270 and I know, it's a rip off. I do know what you mean by spongy because it kept stickin what not and hard to put into gears. The clutch doesn't stick like before so I don't think it would be. Maybe master?.. I will check up. Thanks.
