Dash Lights

Two dash lights behind the knobs for the heat, blower, and fresh/recirc air have blown out, i go down to 2 parts stores and they don't have them, so i go down to the chrysler dealership and they order me 2 more.. (8 bucks a pop for a light 1/2 the size of a penny) but they look like the wrongs ones, if i open them i can't return them. Does anybody know the MB......... part number for these dash lights? they are 14V 1.4W bulbs and I have a 91 Talon Tsi AWD. The lights they gave me are MB832266 and are 2V and don't have a wattage on them. Thanks

They gave you 2V lights or 12V lights? MB832266 is a valid mitsu number for a light bulb with 14V, 1.4W. Are they ones they gave you bigger or something? I have a bunch of extra ones if you need some that I'll send you if you need them.

the bulbs i got were way to big. My bad, it says V-2 on the back which i don't think has anything to do with anything. But, i've learned i need MB609167. They're very small, with a grey base, and an orange condom over it. I have a pic, but its not clear at all. If you have 2 of these and could send them to me, that'd be great. PM me if you have 2 of them. Thanks

those are the ones that I allready have that don't fit im pretty sure. The burnt out ones don't seem to be removable from the base, and the bulb looks a lot longer than the one I need. I guess i'll return these and get them to order the proper ones; now that I have the part number I should be able to get them no problem. Thanks though.

I'm pretty sure they're removable. Why not try it anyway? You're pretty intent on throwing it away. If you look that part up on CAPS, you'll see that it's two part numbers. One for the bulb, one for the carriage. Just take a piece of needle nose pliers and gently wiggle them from side to side. They'll probably pop out with a little TLC.

they do not want to come, shattered both while trying to use pliers. dug around the wires that make up the filiment (sp?) are in place, and they go straight though to the base where the make contact with the power source...hard to explain, and way to detailed for my camera. These bulbs that I am pretty sure are one piece.

Yep. Guess they are one piece then. Oh well. I thought I had a few of those as well but sorry to have gotten your hopes up.

Criminy, if you can't get to a junkyard, grab used switches off eBay. Also, see if NAPA stocks them.

closest junkyard with a DSM is in Vancouver, I live on In Victoria, and its a 70 dollar ferry ride. Damn place has a DSM monopoly in BC. Annoying as hell that is! Went to Napa, they refered me to the dealership. Ebay doesn't have any at the moment, and with shipping and brokerage fees and crap like that, it's probaby the same price just to pick it up from chrysler.
