black lick,
i tried to hook up my cd player and box in the car and i cant get the illumination lights to turn on and the fuel pump dont work and the cigertte litter fuse keeps blowing i need to know what wires go where!!
please help i need to get the car going!!

fuel pump? whats the fuel pump have to do with a stereo install??? as far as blowing the fuse, make sure oe of your wires are exposed or touching each other , make sure all connections are secure, and make sure your cd player is grounded well. other than that it's just a matter of matching colors. constant power will be red, ground is black, yellow is 12v ignition, orange is dimmer, blue is remote turn on (amp or power antenna), and then the speakerw wires colors may vary...but they are usually stripped and somewhat similar to one another (front left & right are similar....rear left & right are similar). can't figure it out yourself take it down to best buy or something, otherwise...post more details and we'll try to help you out.

my stereo works fine its just when u turn on the headlights my gauges dont light up and the fuel pump dont work and when u turn the headlight handle 1 click the side lights dont come on either.. what could this be? could it be the computer messed up? or what....

here is what i got now i got everything working execpt the whole dash assembly lights and side markers. any clues?

-Does the light on the stereo work? I'm 99.99% you have blow a fuse, either fuse #10 or #11, if you keep blowing the same fuse, then recheck the area you had worked on, wires are touching, DO NOT get creative and put in a higher rating fuse, it might start a fire, I know it's very fustruating on electical problem.
-If you plan to work on the car yourself, you should invest in the dealer's manual set or the back-up CD-ROM, The Chilton manual left out a lots of detail.

i checked all fuses 1 was blown it was to the side marker lights there is 1 problem left the gauges dont light up still, the lights on the radio light up fine...

have you checked to see if your taillights are lighting up? when my taillight fuse blew, my gauges went dark. it's mitsu's way of telling you your taillights are out. check the taillight fuse under the hood.
