91 GSX Hand Brake Problem Help Please...

I have just gotten this 91 gsx this past tuesday and my hand brake dont work. It goes up so easy but park it in the slightess hill ever the still rolls. What can I do to fix this problem??? Can someone help me please??? Thank You!

All you need to do is adjust your hand brake. I know that on the 1g's you just need to pull off the center console to get to the adjustment point. Not sure about the 2g though, I imagine it is the same, requires a 10mm wrench and either tightening or loosening it. With what your saying it seems to need a tightening.

This is a quote from Defiant copied from a past post, telling how to adjust the emergency brake:

"1.Open the ashtray door and the cup holder door.
2.Gently yank up on the assembly, they will lift out as one.
3.Release parking brake, lower handle. Apply regular brakes.
4.Turn obviously visible nut in center of handbrake assembly, in the well below where the ashtray was, until snug. No tools needed, you don't want it any tighter than you can get it with ordinary finger-strength.
5.Release regular brakes, pull up emergency brake handle, check for proper operation.
6.When satisfied, pop ashtray/cup holder back in place with a smart smack."

Thanks Guys I am now grabbing my keys and parking it out back so that I can give it a shot although theirs nothing, I mean it feels like its free when you pull it back I guess it needs tightening, and that I will try. Thank You Guys I will post on the updates today once I get it done.

Well if adjusting it doesnt work, then it is possible you have a broken emergency brake cable. They are about $45 from advance auto parts. I had to get a new one and installed it. It is quite easy, you should be fine.

Yep, I tried but it doesnt do nothing. What is that part number if you have it for the emergency brake line??? "Wait a minute all I have to do is let them know?" But wait the guys at advance aut parts in my neighbor hood dont know crap always send me to the damn dealer, but I dont I go to Autozone. You think they may have what I need???

The auto zone, when I called, didn't have it. When I called advance they had it, but it could be a different story since you have a 91' and I have a 90'. Go luck.
