Cracked Exhaust Housings? 14b

I just bought a cracked exhaust housing that I thought wasnt cracked, to replace the already cracked one I had that was on a spare turbo. I also just got another one for free, but it too was cracked. It seems all of them are cracked.

Is it ok to use a cracked exhaust housing on a turbo? All of them are cracked on the wastegate area, but one has an external crack. Would I be better off just getting a evo3 16g than using a ported 14b with cracked housing?

Do you really need someone to answer this for you?

Oh, yeah...should have worded that differently. What I meant was, can I use the better of the cracked housings and still maintain good boost and power, or is a new 16g my only option? As of now I have 2 turbos that are otherwise fine, but the exhaust housings are cracked. Are they usable with cracked housings? I was thinking of selling them and getting a 16g.

I don't know about using the one that is cracked all the way through but the one with a crack by the flapper valve will work but won't hold probably more than 10psi of boost. I also have a cracked exhaust housing on my 14b and thats all that it will hold.

You can get away with running a cracked housing, but it is not recomended. If you are thinking of upgrading then I would just do it now becasue you already have the turbo off and it will be a direct swap.
