Half wave rectification possibly. Do the lights stay dimmer or do they just dim for a brief moment.

It really looks to me like you have a bad alternator or connection somewhere. Check all the power connections and clean them.

Odds are you got a bum alternator...I always go through 3 of them before i get a good one.....

I have the same problem. When I push on my brakes all my interior lights and everything dim until I let the brake go. Or when my blinker goes on my lights dim and stuff. Also I tried putting in a Sony cd player one time and when i turned the volume up halfway the power would shut off. Someone told me it was because of my battery. I need to find out what it is though cuz I wanna put my subs and stuff in the car.

Just for a brief moment, then they go back to normal. It just started today.I look for the connections.Where are the most ovvious places.

Guys, I had this same problem...it sucked.

What I found my problem to be was the connection with the batter, but it was two fold. 1) The connection was garbage, i bought a new terminal to hook up to the batter, and 2) The Positive Terminal of the batter was arching to the hood. Check both of those problems out, otherwise, as above, probably a bummed alternator...have you checked it with a Voltmeter?
