I have been accepted to University of New Hampshire, and it may be my top choice right now. I am trying to work out the logistical issues of moving out there, and my DSMs are my biggest concern
I have a 1990 TSi AWD and a 1995 TSi FWD. I am not too concerned about the '95 as I feel it would pass any inspection easily. It is almost completely stock.
The 1990, however, is another story. It has a JDM engine and I removed the a/c and evaporative canister. There are other various aspects of the car which may encourage further curiosity on the part of a thorough emissions tech.
What are emissions laws like in New Hampshire. Do you consider them strict? I read at this link:
New Hampshire Smog Checks - Emissions Regulations, NH Smog Testing Stations - DMV Guide
that a car that is 20 years old or older does not require any inspection. Would this also apply for out-of-state vehicles applying for NH tags?
These may be somewhat obscure questions, but if you haven't had to deal with it directly, perhaps you can point me in the right direction for research?
Thanks for your help guys, and maybe I'll see you around in a few months!
Matt

but now i go to a garage where he dont care how loud your exhaust is and he sells all aftermarket parts too. what they will do is jack the front end up and just check your tie rods and ball joints (usually they just check one side) and your horn, brakes lights, lights, windshield wipers and then they'd slap a sticker on for you.
