I just bought my 97 gst a week ago. And need some help with my vehicles situation. I know it's cold out. But can anyone take a look at my car and tell me what I should look for with my cars condition? Help would be greatly appreciated from a knowledgable dsmer!!

Instead of trying to get someone to come to your house and fix your car, it would probably be better to explain your cars situation that way you have a broader spectrum of people to help you help yourself. I assure you that there are tons of people on this site that can probably help you solve your issues and maybe only a few that will actually come to your house andactually know how to fix it as well.

That's not at all what I'm looking for. I am looking for others in my area (not you) to help me with suggesting and showing me visually on what I should do first. And possibly make a friend or two. I know absolutely nobody in my area with a dsm. You can help others by opening your mind instead of your mouth. I wouldn't want anybody to do work on my vehicle unless they wanted to help. I'm not looking for handouts. I just don't want to mess my car up by just tearing stuff apart.

Ok well then that's probably what you should have said in the op then..... I also didn't think you wanted handouts, and your post suggests that your car has a "condition". or "situation" and I was simply trying to get you back on the road as soon as possible. good luck

My car runs fine 90eclipse. I just have a drip oil of droppage after I park. Thanks for your concern. As for this other gentleman. The whole "Rockford area" does not apply to you. This is not hard to comprehend. I don't have an attitude. I just don't get why someone would respond unless in my area.

As for the oil leak you speak of, get used to it... as soon as you fix it another will become apparent. Its just part of owning a 20 yr old car. As for what you can do first as far as mods go, all i can suggest is to start with VFAQ Site - Visual Frequently Answered Questions for the basics. click on the dsm site and under miscellaneous there is a link to a 2g upgrade path. This is a great site for beginners to dsms. As for not wanting to start ripping stuff apart, I have found that it is exactly what you need to do in order to learn about your new car, just pay attention and remember that you can literally find anything you need to know about your car on this site.
