So a week ago I bought a 1999 Eclipse GS non turbo.
1.) The day I bought it I 1st noticed that my right blinker was blinking fast. So I figured it had a bad bulb. I replaced the bulb and...nothing changed. So I chalked it up to a short... Maybe not?
2.) The 2nd day I had the car I had to install an ignition interlock device. (that's a breathalyzer for those that are smart enough to never drink and drive, or at least smart enough to not get caught.)
3. It started up fine for the first 4 days and then ...nothing. At first the lights and stereo would come on, but it wouldn't start. And now it won't do anything. No electrical at all.
I'm at a loss here. I don't know if it has a bad alternator, bad battery, if the interlock device got installed wrong and drained it. I tried to jump it, but it didn't even turn over. I can't drive the thing to have the alternator/battery checked. Any suggestions or theories would be greatly appreciated.

the lights have a short somewhere, check the plug the bulb goes to also or i believe vfaq.com has some sort of diagram. as far as not starting take the battery out and get it tested at autozone, we do that for free. also take a look at your wiring, and by that i mean everything, the car is old and wires go bad over time. when you get it running go get your alternator tested, those things are known for failure.
