I need an opinion

I got a question for anyone willing to give me their opinion. Is it smart to buy parts for my '95 gst off ebay? I see like $85 headers and downpipes, but when i go to a manufacturer website they're like $200. Is it smart to purchase any parts off of ebay, has anyone had any success, and anyone know any good places to make some purchase? thanks

they are hit or miss in quality but certain parts you can skimp on and get off ebay. I have a CXRacing (Ebay china seller) exhaust manifold and radiator and they are good quality. Punishment racing is making a big advance on ebay and theyre good quality, I picked up their FMIC and its decent quality. I think when it comes to internals, turbo, or anything requiring high precision, dont rely on a knock-off or cheap part to fit the bill. A no name SS O2 housing wont hurt anything if it leaks it tiny bit, but a exploding turbo or cheap bolts can destroy an engine... So my recommendation is to buy parts that dont have precise requirements. Sure the quality can be less than great but the price per performance gain can be good.

People immediately bash ebay parts but its mostly for the ebay turbos reputation

thanks man. Yah i planned on buyin a downpipe, headers, shift knob, guage face, and an intercooler kit off ebay. You think thatd be fine?
