Ohio DSM F&F meet and hang out

I sent a text out today to a lot of my DSM friends and got a great feed back about having a party next weekend for the F&F movie.

Here is what we are doing and hope that all DSMs and anyone who wants to attend can.

We are going to meet at the Quaker Steak and Lube in Columbus, OH starting to meet when ever after 5pm on Friday, April 3rd . I will be there then (not in my dsm of course) but will be working in that area that day.

Stay hang out and eat when ever with whom ever starting around 7 or so.

Between 10-11 we will try and make our way across the street to the theater to see Spilner and Toreto go at it again. I'm not sure as to the times of the movie as they have not released them yet but they should have a few showings every hour.

As far as travel the good news is that this location is no more than a 2 hour drive for anyone in the state, so everyone come. We will be getting a hotel and staying the night and I would suggest likewise if you don't want to drive home late that night or have had way too many to drinks. The prices for hotels in C-bus are WAY cheaper than they are the SO. I have seen hotels on SR 23 for $40-$70 a night, and when divided by 6 people that gets real cheap plus AAA discounts.

All of this is contingent on weather if it is going to suck then forget it, if not....

Courtesy of the Internet Movie Database, The Fast and the Furious release date was June 22, 2001. Damn, it's been nearly 8 years! And I agree, sounds like a good excuse to drive our DSM's.

I can tell you right now, right after the movie all the ricers and going to try pulling off the stunts they watched in the movie.

Just putting it out for the movie, the "skyline" isn't, in fact a skyline. Its a kit car, and in the off road scenes with it(wait and see) its a tube chassis, rwd with a vw engine. No lie. The subie, has a fake front mount, and the nsx-r is just a knockoff. Don't believe? Pick up the newest issue of Import Tuner.

Nooooo!! That is rediculous who is going to want to see the movie now? Man you totally ruined it for me. Anyway like previously stated, this is not a thread on how sweet or ### the movie will be, its a thread about who wants to hang out and the movie is just for added fun and laughs. Anyway, who ever wants to come post here, the Dayton crowd are a fun bunch and things are sure to get interesting after the movie.

Quaker Steak and Lube is letting us use their parking lot on Friday the 3rd of April. For those that want to go to the show, the Cinemark right next door will be playing the movie. (Sorry no discount available) You can either come before the movie, come back after the movie or both and grab some food from Quaker Steak and Lube and/or just hang out!
We highly suggest parking your cars at QS&L and then walking over to the cinema. This will not only draw more attention for us and our club, but also is most likely a lot safer because people will be there the whole time.
