Iowa City/University of Iowa DSM'rs?

Hey guys

I've been heavily involved in the Chicago area DSM scene for years now, but as of late August I'll be moving to Iowa City for school.

I'm not bringing the dirty whore over there, but I still am curious what the scene is like there.

So, do any other DSM'rs attend the school or live in the area?

I'm in Ames, not IC, but I have to say that the scene's pretty decent here in Iowa.

There're quite a few owners in the Des Moines area, which prompted a bunch of us to start the Diamond Star Tuner Association, or DSTA. We know the site sucks, and we're working on that.

We've got members from all over Iowa, a there are clumps of us that knew each other from other functions, like SCCA, more localized meets, etc. I'm sure there're general car enthusiast groups in IC, but this, as far as we know, is the only fully DSM group in Iowa.

Our next meet is going to be at Easter Lake in Des Moines on the 9th. Details are on the site, if you're moved in by then and would like to join us.

sax_man goes to U of I, so you might want to talk to him about the scene over there, he'll know more than I do.
