It's 2am here and I just got home. I will call you in the morning to see if you still need the help. I don't want to bother you if you are sleeping. Call me if you need to. I will be available till 4pm tomorrow: 913-406-3528 I've got both belts, an alternator, and a crank pulley if you need one. I was planning on heading up that way tomorrow to go to the junk yard anyway. I'll give you a ring around 9ish.

ProjectGS and DiamondstarAWD although i didn't get your offers till late, thanks for coming through, i was working on the car around 9 so i don't know how i didn't notice you tried calling, but i do much apreciate it either way. I saw the missed call when i checed the time from leaving WOF, I didn't get to use the computer to even know that was your number until just now. Next time i'm in KC the beers are on me either way

I found an O'reilly that had a driver willing to bring the parts to the hotel, but only after i had them look up my phone # in their system to prove i spend a few hundred a week at their omaha store on average for my car and customer cars maintenence. He first said he wouldn't send them to me because i wasn't at a shop and could rob or shoot his driver.

I had a 12 and 13 box wrench and a 1/4 ratchet with a 10mm socket on it in the car, those are all i had to change the belts but i did it But if it weren't for that tow truck driver that had an air powered impact on his truck to let me use to secure my crank pulley i would have had a bitch of a time. Luckily the external wastegate is 12mm as well because with the dump pipe on it i can't get my hand to the tension bolt on the alt period.

I tried using his 1/2 ratchet on the crank pulley at first, but turning the motor backwards i don't like, plus i was rolling it while in gear and getting no where. The impact zipped it right on, i just hope there's nothing messed up with the woddruff key and that the timing mark is on since i didn't have the tools to check everything, so hopefully it didn't loose alignment with the key ( I also a fear if it was off alignment that the damper is now stuck on there until a savage removal beating may take place)

Eitehr way man, thanks a ton! We had a great day at WOF, stayed from 10:15 till 6PM and the weather couldn't have been much better

I made a trip up to council bluffs to work for a week, about 6 months ago, two weeks after putting my new engine in. I cringed at every sound I heard. I stopped every 30 minutes or so to check on things. Ended up making it there and back in one peice though.

I had a similar issue with mine, not as bad, but over time it beat the hell out of the keyway in the lower pulley and almost had the key sheared off. it had like 5 degrees of rotational freeplay. you might want to check that..

Next time i pull a motor mount to where i can get the damper off i will check the keyway. But since the timing was dead on i imagine it's fine and won't pull it unless i've got another reason to be in there or it comes loose again. I will be keeping an eye on it. Running without balance shafts for a long period of time ( last motor didn't have them either ) I can say that i think that might have played a roll in the damper bolt (center one) coming loose. The BSE'd motors have made everything in my car rattle at one engine speed or another and it gets kinda annoying, but it's too late now and i'm not pulling the dash to fix a buzz at 1800 RPM, I'll just crank the radio
