Local Des Moines shops?

hey all, i don't have a DSM, but what i am looking for is a good shop around the des moines area. i'm tired of going to a dealer or tire dealer (ie goodyear) and being at their mercy when it comes to car maintenance. i can do a lot of stuff myself, but alignments and such i cannot. i guess i figured that a smaller shop that perhaps takes pride in their work (albeit, probably a bit more expensive) would be a much safer bet. it seems no one so far can work on the car (tires/rims especially) without damaging them in some fashion. it's getting very old. any suggestions? much appreciated!

There are 2 places I know of that do work. It's in Pleasanthill if that's cool. One is KHI and the other is a shop just 2 buildings down (forgot the name). I go to KHI just because I trust them better with my body kit and taking care of it. The other shop is less caring for body kits and such, although one of the mechanics has a 1g. So it's up to you on which you choose. I believe the street is 56th, the same street McDonalds is on.

i'd be much more willing to go a few extra miles if it was for a place that saved me the headache of having to deal with screwups for months on end. Ramsey mazda screwed up my rims, attempted to fix them, and now they are crap again (chipping clearcoat)...goodyear, same type of thing. ramsey also did some fairly shoddy body work. it's just not worth it if the crew isn't customer oriented. thanks for the advice, i'll give'm a call.
