Any good trans rebuild shops out there, Chicago area??

Im looking for a good shop to get my GVR4 trans rebuilt, but i dont know any reputable ones out here except for shep or TRE, but they are too expensive, i need someone that will rebuild it back to stock, but i want to know that its of quality and is reliable, anyone have recommendations?? I desprately need someone who has a really good rep for trans rebuilds around here, thanks.

Devo Tuning. They are experts with DSM's and very well known for rebuilding tranny's and just about everything else. I got my turbo upgrade done by them and I can say nothing but good things. Not to mention their sick turnaround time! www.devotuning.com check em out.

Again, i need something not too expensive, im not looking to spend close to $1000 for a trans rebuild, im looking for $500-700 range if possible for good quality reputable work.

Devo's your best bet....AMS quality for 3/4 the price. Mind you these guys have built the fastest Evo in the world so if that isn't reputable enough than i'm not too sure what is.

The local pick n pull <salvage yard> Here in kansas city has 2 one 91 and one 90 tsi awd. Transmissions are $100 bucks with a $15 core. Full money back if it doens't work.

Ugh, well I went with Devo, and they are real cool down there, i gave them my GVR4 trans, and everything is either seized or mashed to hell, basically all the gearsets, synchros, shift rails, bearings, everything is worthless, but thankfully i have another 90 trans, it works but need synchros, theyre gonna take that one and rebuild that one and not charge me for the shitty one
