AMS SWAP MEET AND BBQ

Sunday September 11th Noon till the food runs out and we get tired. (5pm)

Sunday September 11th AMS will be holding the Second swap meet and BBQ of the year. Bring all your car parts, video games, movies hell whatever you think you can sell/ trade. If you have a lot of pieces to move please get here early to hold a spot. Also throughout the day free food will be provided to all that attend. This is a GREAT way to clean out that garage and fill up your stomach. The first one this year went over phenomenally , don’t miss the second.

in addtion this year our new neighbors Chitown Tunes will be joining in the festivities.

PLEASE USE COMMON SENSE WHEN BRINGING ITEMS TO SELL. IF YOU THINK IT’S NOT LEGAL IT’S PROBALLY NOT

Take 94 south to 294 south to 90 west to Elmhurst rd north

make a left on oakton and we are about a 1/4 mile down on the right hand side. Look for a big sign that says oakton antique center.

WOW..that sounds exciting...maybe if I can get the car to start up with out rolling it down something, I will drive it over...I live only 20-30min away so I am looking forward to it...I definitely am looking for some random "swap-meet" parts like a t-belt/spark plug cover so I will show up no matter what...Let's hope lots of other people come also..

I was giving our new fabricator a ride in my car and i kinda got pulled over. not really a big deal but funny none the less.

Yeah, the whole day was pretty funny. Especially that mini bike thing. It was a great time, looking forward to the next one!

Yeah it was a lot of fun..I kept pretty quiet and just hung around looking at the cars and looking for parts but it was my 1st time at one of these things so I didn't really know anybody..All the evo's there were really clean, I kinda felt bad parking my scratched-up 1G next to them.., I enjoyed it tho..can't wait for the next one....B/c of this I am now bringing my car up to AMS next wed for an appointment, they earned my respect...

BTW: Didn't somebody blow up an airbag or something??

Yea the airbag was funny it flew like 20 feet in the air. When is the next swap meet or cruise I am down for one more before the winter comes anyone else?

I got some pics of my 1g parked with the Evo's and some of the AMS tuned cars and engine bays but they are all on my camera phone..I didn't want to show up with a digital camera and have everyone thinking I was going to exploit their cars or something..I don't know, it's rare for me not to bring a digi but I didn't, hopefully the AMS guys will show theirs if they took any..I didn't see anyone with a camera in their hand, just hamburgers and chips..

I swear I saw somebody with a video camera though, it'd be cool to see what it looked like from another perspective as I missed a few of the cars and the airbag thing.
