Hey guys i'll be looking to get retuned with my new engine build and E-manage. I had the dastek unichip, but wasn't happy at all with it. Was wondering if AMS is the best for emanage?
Only heard Great things about that shop.
I have a 99 Galant V6 Turbo

welll, dsms/evos are like the only things they work on, so im sure they know their shit about them, but wouldnt want to be makign claims about being BEST in tuning, cause I dont really know taht for a fact, but they are really good at what they do.

There is Also SPEEDQUEST PERFORMANCE in Waukegan, they do mainly hondas but Have all the resources and tech to tune every kind of engine/ fuel management

DEVO tuning has been doing some pretty good stuff to... they work mainly on DSMs and EVOs

devo is unreliable, adam does good work but you cant rely on him like you can on ams, for dsms and evos, there prolly isnt a better shop than ams to get your shit done, you just have to wait a week or so cause they are booked like that sometimes.

Speedquest does honda stuff mostly and I havent really heard any good things about that shop. One6 and whip factory is shops that I always hear honda guys praise though. :thumb: :dsm: :talon: :laser:

im not saying AMS is bad or anything, i go there and recomend them to all my friends (AMS :thumb: )..... but ive heard nothing but good things about devo so thought id add it

Adam is a nice guy like you say he does great work and is very very in tune with the dsms and evos. He just doesn't know how to run a business give him a little while I put up with his unreliable (ness) just cause after getting my car worked on by him I dont want to go to anyone else great guy good work.

They're the only shop i've gone to for work I couldn't do on my own. Don't have one bad thing to say about the shop either. They took my car in on a day they were closed, so I wouldn't have to make two trips up there (last year's swap meet), and they called me up at work a couple times to ask questions and give me their advice on things. :thumb:

My car would've been with AMS if they weren't so busy.... Everytime I call to have my car brought in, they tell me the next available day is 3 weeks away.

Not much they could do i guess, even if we are board members, they have to give all customers the same treatment.

I honestly would love to have another shop to trust my DSM to.

I've never heard of DEVO tuning, where is it at?

Google is your friend: http://www.devotuning.com/

I'd never heard of Devo before either however after the suceess they have been having with their Evo, I would say that either Devo or AMS would be worth the trip.

devo sure does good work, just don't be trying to depend or rely on them, cause they're really bad at that, only from persoanl experience I tell ya.

OK, Does ANYONE have DEVO TUNING'S phone number??? I called and number has been disconnected. I would love to take my car to AMS, but they would charge me $700, and I just spent about that much and now AGAIN about $300-400 on parts, plus what ever labor a shop charges. So.... I need the number...thanks!
