1995 mitsubishi eclipse gst

Told me he could do 3000 for me. Said he has an extra 6 bolt motor too. Trans is brand new and more. Said it drives fine but no wastegate. Don't you need a wastegate?

yes... you can get one fairly cheap here though

Well I figured that haha, Im wondering if it would be worth getting. They guy says I would be able to drive fine from PA down here to calvert in SoMD

I would not recomend doing so. Buy wastegate first, install, then drive. If you insist on driving w/o wastegate, KEEP THE BOOST DOWN. Words of advice. Matter of fact... get the wastegate on there first. Talk to owner and tell him you want to put a wastegate on there after purchase.

Worth getting... I'm in the same boat myself. Trying to figure if the dsm I'm looking at is worth buying. Good luck getting some insight from these guys... I've gotten very little. Just use your instinct and make sure there is no rust, no weird noises from engine (i.e. knocks, ticks) smoke coming from exhaust... you know the basics. GL

yea i would def get a wastegate first and install it before you drive it back. cause you know how hard it is to lay of the boost in theys cars
