Hey everyone, I spoke to Gr8poop today , and was thinking of haveing a get together, maybe a cookout or someething, maybe like mid june if ths sounds good let me know, theres a park here in Alexandira, or maybe Fort Smallwood in Pasadana or even Sandy Point state park (but we have to get there early)

June 9 & 10 is a NHRA Sport Compact race at Atco, NJ. Please don't make it that weekend !!!

It'll be my first sport rear wheel drive race.

That weekend is good for me. Probably the only weekend I'm free in June. And if we set the date now, I can get off work, and let some of the local DSM'ers know so they can come down if they want...

If we are doing the 23rd/2th why dont we get a big DSM showing at hyperfest???!!!

June 23rd is hyperfest and there will be lots of shit going on and you can barbecue and drink there. Its only an hour from DC and its an actual track and will have tons of parking on the infield and alchohol is allowed along with barbecuing. I will be out there road racing but inbetween runs I can meet up with you guys. You will also have entertainment with the car show, drift event, hyperdrives, spec class racing, daisy dukes contetss, rice rice contests.....

Sounds much better idea. I can bring a grill and I can reserve at least a decent spot because racers have to be there WAYYY early.

June 24th is a Sunday. I didn't know you could travel in any direction for 4 hours and still be in Maryland. I don't mean sitting in traffic either.

Well, he is up by Cecil county, redneckville (wannabe PA). Takes me 25 minutes to get to the dragway from my house, and a good hour with traffic to get to DC from my house.

Man I would love to go, but like I said I'm now busy that Saturday the 23rd, and I cant make a 3 hour trip on a Sunday and come back and expect to work the next day. MIR is about the farthest I will go for just a one day trip.

This isn't about hyperfest. We would like to get a few DSMers together locally and have a bbq. TJ Sandy Point is about an hour north of MIR. I assure you there will be plenty of bikinis there too. The drinking part I'm not to sure of, but I will find out. I believe you can drink as long as there are no glass bottles.

I already took off of work that Sunday, I will be down with my RS-T, hopefully, if I can get these damn locking hood pins to actually.....lock.
