$85 3" Catback 4"outlet.....that came in a box-_-

Alright guys soooo I just picked up a catback from a dude off craigslist for $85. The thing looks really nice. He said he had it on for about 300 miles. But the only thing he could tell me about who made it was it came in a box. (he had a very thick accent)WTF...... anyway I'm trying to put this damn thing on and my old exhaust is rusted to sh*t on every flange. SOoo far the only way to separate the pieces of the exhaust has been with a sawzaw. I just had to order a new cat for $215 because the old ones flanges were sooo corroded we couldn't even drill out the bolts This thread is just to keep you guys posted. Since it's a little late for any help

I'll try and put up some pics so you can see how nice my new fart can is and how bad the old exhaust is.

Must suck having emissions. I feel for you guys. When i did my ebay 3" i had to sawzall everything out too, no big deal.

Sad part is I have a good converter in my garage and you could have picked it up today for less than half that.

You might have some trouble trying to fit the pipe around the rear subframe area. You might have to heat it with a torch and dent with with a hammer to prevent rubbing and knocking.

today I began replacing my exhaust from the mani all the way back on my 98 talon. Every bolt I torqued to a bracket busted off, all I had to do was pull the bolts out the hangars. the rest of the rusted junk i just cut out in sections. Heat is definitely your friend when it comes to exhausts.
