Resolved intercooler wont fit, 90-94 all the same?

bought a used one off ebay to replace my bad one and the bottom tank on mine where the j-pipe goes is longer with a different angle, the other one is shorter and curved more upward, am i missing something but i thought all 90-94 eclipse talon and laser were all the same. you will see in the picture..

all the used ones i saw on ebay look exactly like the one i bought, and they are all listed as 90-94 1g smic intercoolers so i thought i was getting the correct one, must be a difference somewhere.

thanks, thats ok. ill just weld the ends from the good one to my bad one as there are pin holes in them, should be a easy fix, just thought they were all the same. now i know.. learn something new everyday

If I recall there were no automatic 1990 turbos. For sure there were not auto AWD 1990 cars. I think this is the issue. The tranny required a different lower intercooler pipe routing and naturally a different intercooler inlet. 1991 they made a change so it didn't matter if it was auto or 5spd.
