97 2.0.. skips after warms up

So iv had this car about a month and ever since IV had it, after the car runs about a minute it starts skipping a bit and after a few minutes of running the skip gets worse and its also spitting a little bit of water from the tail pipe with a little bit of white smoke...so far IV replaced a few things on the car valve cover gasket, spark plugs, and a despratly needed oil change...also had a egr code but I took it off and cleaned it out and that code went away and the skip got a bit better..iv also noticed there's a crack in the center of my header (I think the car was wrecked before)..so my question is what could the skip and the smoke be coming from? I fear there may possible be a small crack in the head gasket

The water out the tail pipe is normal byproduct of combustion.
The white smoke however is not good. I would suggest starting with a compression test on all cylinders. Check if one is low also, how is your coolant and oil levels? either low? Condition of both?
