So I removed my oil pan to attempt doing the balance shaft eliminator mod, and found this... is this a stock crank scrapper (2G 7-bolt)? If so, I never knew DSMs even came with them from the factory.... WTF :confused:

yes, theyre on 7 bolts. just take the 4 bolts out and your set. along with all the other crap to do the BS delete. I am doing that right now and I must say it is a royal pain in the ass with the engine in the car. I would have honestly rather have taken the motor out of the car to do it

Yeah, lucky for me I pulled my engine out for this and other matters, but I'm just keeping the BSs for now. Don't have the tools I'll most likely need for the mod. Oh well, after I get the car up and running, I'm building a seperate race engine, that one won't have the BSs...
