I have CEL code p0443 Evaporative Purge Control Malfunction, therefore I pulled the battery/tray and am looking off the EVAP canister for the solenoid I need to replace.
I don't know what the EVAP solenoid looks like and where it is mounted to.

Thank you in advance to whomever tells me where and what it looks like.

All the resolved answers pictures on the internet have been pulled.. makes me sick. I need to get my car legal so I have to fix this cel.

If anyone else had this code, how they fixed it would be appreciated too just in case it's not this solenoid

When I tried to trace the vacuum line in went into a sheath with a few other lines so Idk which vacuum line goes to which solenoid. A picture of the solenoid would make me ecstatic

I will hunt for a solenoid that looks like that but that is off of a 98-99 car. My EVAP canister and solenoid are in a different place being it's a 97, i.e under the battery tray. If anyone does have a picture of the exact location of the solenoid on the 95-97 cars it would be helpful to myself and other users, I will be putting one up once I find it. Thanks for the help so far guys

I replaced the purge solenoid and battery. When I start her up I still throw DTC P0443 and the check engine light is still on. Does anyone have a solution?

Also according to v3 lite I have 3/4 OBD2's complete; catalyst is incomplete. Is the catalyst just the catalytic converter or would would that carry into 0443?

The shining one is the purge control solenoid for future reference to others

Does anyone know if the solenoid is routed to a fuse

The selenoid is mounted on the fire wall (drivers side) next to the brake booster. Follow the vacuum line off the stock fpr ( on the fuel rail). It will lead you straight to it.

Nvm that. I'm drunker than I thought LOL it's under the battery tray smh LOL

I am throwing that code after a egr delete myself. How can I trick the ecu? Cause I don't want egr. I already capped the intake manifold but left the solenoid open.

Your profile says you have dsmlink, you can go in and set it to ignore EGR.
