aftrermarket tach wires

So the previous owner had an aftermarket tach in the car due to the normal stock tach not working. He took the aftermarket one when I bought the car. I have one laying around but I need to know which wires go to what. There is red green black and white.

Red is positive ignition on, green is the tach signal , black is ground ,and white is the back light. hope this helps
