need help on what mods to do first???

Should I do 272 cams first or a 16g Turbo? ?? I'm on stock turbo still.. and does anyone have any 16g for sale??
 
The previous owner did timing belt before I bought it not to sure when tho.. my compression is 135 in all 4 cylinders... do I need a rebuild yet car runs strong and smooth tho

I will tell you from personal experience. the 1st thing your should do is a check on everything. make sure everything preform stock before adding anything. Have your tranny service. Have your engine checked out. If everything is cool there. Start with gauges so you can watch and monitor your engine as you start adding and changing things............I had to learn the hard way when I started modding w/o doing a retinue check.
 
Maintenance first.

As much as we all want to make considerable power gains right from the start, its not such a good idea. Especially if you're considering cams and a bigger turbo as a starting point.
If you aren't sure when the timing belt was changed it might be best to change it along with tensioners, water pump, gaskets, motor mounts, etc.
A good tune up if you haven't already too.

Start with the basics: intake, gauges, exhaust, fmic maybe, or a an upgraded clutch even.
Need to take care of the little stuff first :thumb:

Besides, a bigger turbo won't do much without supporting mods.
