Hello thanks for looking at the post!

Just what the title says I have a 91 gsx with a wiring issue it keeps popping ignition Fusible link 30 amp.

Here is what happened, im driving home from work I went over this crappy road with a big bump on it and im thinking that my battery wires the one with fusible link(the ignition possible shorted on on my abs)!

I don't know to much about the car as far as what has been done to it honestly i just bought it a month ago and now i don't have a ride!

I have tried finding the short with no luck! Due to lack of time i have between school and work! I meddled with it but not in depth and id rather have someone who has experienced this situation so i can get it done faster!

What im asking anyone near the fontana area or rancho area or San Bernardino with a good knowledge of this problem or good electrical skills can come help and im willing to pay 100$ for the day if we get it fixed!

If you are interested Please pm with your number so we can set up a day were we can tackle it so i can start driving it! thanks!

anyone?

i bought my gst and 2 days later as soon as i was pulling in my driveway my car turned off. i tried turning it on and doesn't even crank, i pop the hood and smelled like something burning. so when i woke up in the morning i look in the fuse box under the hood and see how the starting fusible link is blown. i took of the screws that hold the box and look under the box and notice all this wires burned up. took me a few days to fix my problem so you might want to consider taking it to a shop and get someone experienced to look at it because it will most likely take more than a day

if you think you might be able to do it yourself, trace the wires under your fuse box and replace them. if your unlucky like me and have like 10 wires burned together trace back how far they started, and go to a pull it yourself salvage and get another fuse box and cables and put them in the place the burnt ones are

my fuse box did not burn it just keeps popping the fuse because something is shorting out whats worse is that the ignition fuse on our vehicle pretty much controls everything in our car which means it can be anything........ literally

Last thing i resort to is take it to another shop i was hoping to have someone on here with good knowledge on i guess a common problem on this cars!

I would unplug everything and put in a new fuse. Then start plugging things in, one at a time, until the fuse pops. By everything I mean fuel pump, ecu, mfi relay, coil pack, power transistor, cas, maf, anything in the engine bay that would get power with the key on. When the fuse pops the component that you plugged in it is the culprit. I would start with the fuel pump.

This may get more suggestions if moved to the newbie tech section
