Weird sputter.Fuel cut?dsmlink log19psi/ebay16g:)[RESOLVED]

So ive been doing some tuning, and the car is coming along quite well, but now that i turned up the boost i have a sputter. It feels like fuel cut, but i dont know what to do about it. Can someone help. This run is at 19psi on a big16g. It does it more in first and second.Right around 5k.It also does it at 6.6k bad. The wideband leans way out. I tried adding fuel with no luck. I have no boost leaks. I pressurize to 25psi, and it takes about 2sec. for each psi to leak down. Thanks for any help

Well, we know it can't be fuel cut with dsmlink. Timing curve looks good. Is the wideband reading consistently? What are the plugs gapped to? Sounds like an ignition problem to me. You might want to make the gap smaller depending on what it is at and see if that fixes it. I will post it on the link forums to see if some of the more experianced members see anything.

Well its funny you say that because when i was at 16psi i had the same problem, and i closed the gap to .024, and it fixed the problem. Now i wonder if i should close it up even more. The wideband goes lean.

The lowest gap I would go is .020. Going lean could be from spark blowout.

I just got DSMLInk too and have very similar setup on my TSI and the same problem..

MHI B16G
Short R FMIC
2.5" Turbo back catless evo VIII 560cc
NGK Blue premium wires
BPR7ES (stock ungapped)
and other things

I had SAFC and logger before and i had CRAZY knock past 4k but it never "fuel cut"

so now DSMLink is in (ITS AMAZING BTW) and every time i hit boost past 16 PSI @ 4200 RPM car stputters (just like fuel cut) in ANY gear (it almost feels like RPM limiter, and no limiter is set @ 7500 RPM right now in DSM Link).

Just ordered another new set of BPRS7ES and gapping tool and gonna try .0.28 and see if it helps it. I donno why it i didn't do it before... my timing MAPS were wayy higher with SAFC (14-22 @ 7000 RPM) maybe that's why and now it's proper 5 to 16 @ 7400 RPM.

The best thing is for you to post a log of the problem. It will give us a much better idea of what's going on.
