ok normally I can find the part i need with little or no hassle. However I am finding it very hard to find the correct oil pan for my 98 eclipse gs-t 4g63. I bought a pan which clarified that it was for my car. When I got the pan though there is not turbo holes for the lines and the drain plug is on the oppisite side. Am I suppose to tap my own lines? and does the plug make a difference whether it is front or back? and if so does anyone know whereI can find the correct oil pan? any help would be much appreciated!

try extremepsi.com since yours is a 98 it should be a 7 bolt unless you did a 6 bolt swap. either way they have both pans for the two engines. It shows a spot on the exhaust side of the pan for oil lines for your turbo and the drain plug is on the opposite side of the pan.

Sounds like your pans is for 2.4. Your turbo return line should be in front on both 1g's and 2g's. You should have 7 bolt reference to the flywheel bolt pattern. The oil drain plug faces to the rear of the car. Plenty of them (oil pans) in KC PM AWDSOME on Tuners he might still have a couple of parts cars at his house. If not PM me and I will call him.

wish i would have checked this a year ago! Im 15 minutes from you and have a spare oil pan sitting in the garage! along with many other turbo motor parts, body parts, interior parts and a freshly built 6 bolt longblock, all of which are for sale, but craigslist sucks!
