I'd like to see who has the highest mileage 4g63s on here. What sort of mods did you have?

Anyone have a very high mileage 4g63 that has never had the valve cover pulled, head pulled, timing belt snapped or anything like this?

I'd just like to hear from you all in general.

True, but there have to be some good examples out there. I allowed lots of room for different thresholds like no snapped timing belt and very high mileage.

I'd like to hear about very high milege 4g63s that have encountered VERY little in the way of problems.

I got 190K on mine. Seen some with over 230K.

This should have been posted in the Hangout, not the newbie section. J/S.

99 GSX with 206,564 miles. I know I'm jinxing it but, still running original crank and thrust bearings. My profile is complete and up to date.

Impressive profile and nice mileage. No jinx....we didn't have this conversation. ROFL
 
My 98 GST had 234k on it all original, minus timing belt and other maintenance. I pulled the engine to put in the GSX I bought. It didn't last very long after that though. Had an ACT 2100 clutch, bigger turbo, more stuff, it was too much too late. LOL. It never knocked when it was in the GST either. Started every time all the time. It leaked a little oil. Burned none.
 
The highest one I know of had about 306k miles last time I talked to the owner about it...I believe that was a month or so ago. I don't think it has anything done. I know the internals are stock. It might have headstuds at most. Pneumo (Dave W.) owns it. I believe it's a 90 FWD Laser with a E3 16g and quite a few boltons. Maybe he'll see this and chime in. I think it's putting down around 285whp on 91 octane on a Mustang Dyno at like 20psi.
 
Mike Kelly out of the PNW has a laser with 320K (something like that). I know it's not the highest, which last I hear was in the 400k range, but Mike's still has great compression and he's run something like a 13.XX recently with it.
 
I think Dave W. went 12.7 or 12.8 in his with the E3 turbo. He says his compression numbers are in the mid 140s, which is damn near perfect!!

Mike is a good friend of mine and I can vouch for him that his Laser is still running strong! He just hit 333,333 on it today actually. All on a stock motor...and it still pulls like a stabbed rat. God Damn.
