Was driving home from work when I noticed my car wasn't acting aligned. I was having to turn the wheel a lot to the right to go straight. As going over some rail road tracks slow and it sounded like the front passenger side was rattling around. When home and jacked it up and this is what I found.

Yeah it sucks not being able to drive it and I'm sure if I could figure out who I bought the kit from they would help me out but all that info is lost due to the family issue that happen earlier this year.

Although that does suck, it could have been much worse. What if the other mount for that control arm broke too and you lost control of the car? I think you lucked out actually.

That looks very similar to the ebay piece of shit camber kit we just put in my GF's Talon. I will warn her about this. SPC camber kit FTW.

Yeah it is the cheap camber kit on eBay. All the front parts for the camber kit on my car is about to break and I don't drive my car bad. I avoid bumps at all cost because it's lowered and I never ran off the road or hit a curb. I got another kit off eBay but it's from summit racing. It's $70 per wheel. I would try and get rid of that camber kit. The back is fine nothing wrong with the back but the front yeah don't go cheap.

And yeah I know I lucked out it not breaking all the way. I live on a very sharp curvy road.

I guess it is one of those live n learn things. When she can afford it we will be switching hers to a SPC one that replaced the ball joint. I have had the SPC on mine for 5+ years and I love it. It's pretty easy for the shop to align it too.

Yeah I knew the risk going cheap but I had to get my car going cause I got tired of going through tires in half a year at $450 for tires. And I was doing a suspension upgrade shocks springs and poly bushing

One thing I noticed when installing that kit is how damn soft the metal was. Good thing she doesn't drive it much or I would be worried about her. How many miles did you have on that kit?

That's all four tires. I rotated them every oil change. The car was aligned every time I got tires. The inside of the tires all showed metal. I also drive my car quickly through turns and stuff. When I finally for the camber fixed the car handled turn better and half a year later the tires still have great tread.I know it's not camber that kills tires but when you really drive the car and it being a dd it will kill them if they can't grip well. The car is still cambered to -.4 degrees for better turning but not enough where it hurts the tires.

That would be caused by not rotating your tires at regular intervals and/or improper alignment. It's toe that kills tires, not camber.

Camber can also kill tires. Looking at the OP's car, it is pretty slammed, so without a camber kit he will wear the inner section of the tire faster. But yeah, toe kills them FAST.
