#1500 sounds too good to be true. But then I did buy my 96 gst spyder for $300 it had a blown trans and some other minor issues.

Edit: I missed the part about a timing belt job. Probably going to need new valves. now I understand the price.

wow $1500? thats a steal for only needing a timing belt! yea the mileage is high. but do a quick compression test, and the usual loo arounds.. and if all turns out well you got yourself a nice gst spyder, for only about 2hours of labor, and not much $ on the timing parts. just make sure to go oem on the belts, tensioner and water pump. good luck with it. is it 5spd or auto?

you should take the dust cover off from the bottom of the trans to make sure gears havent shot through the side of it. It's only 3 bolts.

isnt that spyder also a GST?

oh and as for prices, lets face it guys, 2gs are OLD, over 10 years old now.

Theres PLENTY of GST, both spyders and not, selling for $2000-3000, so im sure people doing a quick sale for $1500, doesnt seem so far off.

I'm not surprised.. well at least not now when i see the market.

the Rarity of a GSX keeps the prices on those higher

yes they are gst as well...

but for those that arent a gst the non turbo models sport a 2.4 liter 4g64 sohc enigne...and a common mod for those engines are swapping the sohc head with a dohc 63 head because it raises compression....only mod to make it work you ask? plugging the water ports that the head gasket for the 63 head doesnt match up with its as easy as that!
