I bought a 92 tsi for 500 bux with 86k on the clock, a few days ago from a kid that had no idea what he had or how to work on anything without destroying it. The kid only had this a few weeks and gave up on it ### he couldn't get it to run right. I took the ecu out of my other one set up my link for the stock settings and now the car runs perfect. (the only 1g that i have owned that idles right.) but anywho i got to looking at the car and it had a few things done to it that are worth more than i got the car for. IT had a wally 255 in tank, Apexi N1 exhaust, hks turbo timer, braided brake lines and oil return for turbo, nice drilled /slotted rotters and a 90 ofh with oil external cooler. I got to cleaning up the bay and found a bunch of extra wiring unplugged and was like wtf is this. Turns out it was an auto and someone took the time to 5speed swap it. I couldn't hardly tell they did such a cleen job. Body's strait but paint is faded and has small rust spots on the front fenders it also leeks water in thorough the door seals , smelled like a cigarette and was full of trash. and the anti lock light is on. I'm glad i rescued this car, a month with this kid it would be in the junk yard in 50 peaces. Plans are to dd it and maybe fresh paint then flip it for profit next summer
