Tore the trans out of the talon this weekend

This weekend me and a buddy tore the Trans out of my 1G this weekend and i have to say it wasnt that bad! It was my first time ever doing a trans, and my buddy said he has done a couple, he said it was the easiest trans he's ever done, and i believe him cause it really wasnt as bad as i thought it would be.. My goal is to put a good turbo trans in it with a ACT 2600 clutch and an ACT flywheel, it had the N/T trans in it, and it was starting to get pretty bad, when i went to drain the fluid out of it, it was a blackish metallic silver/gold color! Pretty bad if you ask me. I also thought this would be a great way for a little hands on action while im attending UTI, also knowing my DSM even more . Anything to look for while im in there?

When there's extra room it's always a good time to clean things up, look for leaks, or check to see if any of your wiring may need some attention... Things are getting pretty old in there .

Thanks! Im starting to know so much about my car that its kinda scary , i have to say this website is great on information and has taught me more then i ever thought i would about my DSM!
