Damn this kid is on my shit list.
First off Let me start this off by saying I live in a really small town so when something happens everyone knows in 24 hours.
Ok so about a week ago I bought an amp and a headunit off this kid who I believe was honest. (I thought the amp looked familiar to be honest.) My buddy told me his got stolen so I told him I will let him borrow mine till I figure out which car I want to put mine in. I give it to my other buddy to drop off and ten mins later I get a phone call saying, "Who did you buy that from?". I told him and he goes "Holy Shit that bastard stole me amp!!!". I was like damn I bought a pioneer headunit off him too and that was my buddy's too haha.
So I called the kid about 20 times asking where he got that shit from just so I can see if he would lie and I want my money back.
I think its pretty comical no violence will be brought out, I think I might just have to call his mom. hahah I am not even joking when I say this. HIS MOM WILL BEAT HIM WITH A TOASTER!!

A kid from my school got his headunit and grill stolen off his car in the parking lot. The cops found out who did it after they turned up on the local craigslist classifieds. It was another dude from the school that had almost all the same classes. akward.

I thinks its funny I just called his mom I am not even joking. This is what she said,"HE WHAT!!!! I am going to beat his ass."
haha I was trying so hard not to laugh on the phone but she said he hasn't been home in hours.
Sad thing is that I am not even pissed. I am just trying to figure out how the hell you can be that stupid.

18 and I am 17. I just called him from my buddies phone and told him I want my money back.
He asked me why and tried playing stupid and I told him stole someone's shit. He just told me he bought if off someone. Now I am getting kind of pissed. I hate being screwed over and lied too.

IMO, if you don't call the cops, you shouldn't even post further on this topic!! The kid needs to be turned in so he don't think he can getaway with this crap. Good thing your buddy got his stuff back, and hope fully not at your expense.
Even if the kids mom punishes him hell probably still be breaking in to cars. However if the local cops know hes a thief then they'll think twice when they see him out late.

Well then you and your buddy's need to get this kid alone. And set him strait. I'm not gonna say what to do or not to do to him. But i will say make sure theres no proof. You know his word against yours, So the cops wont get involved. Did you tell the kids mom the cops wont get involved, If not call his mom back and say you dont wanna press charges but your buddy's ready too if the moneys not returned. Even if he says he didnt steal it, receiving stolen property is a crime. Was any damage caused to your buddy's car? If so tell his mom your friend wants money for that also or the cops will be visiting her house soon. If the cops say its only $40. Well what if your friend called them cause I'm sure he paid more than that. A thief is a thief is a thief.You say the kid admitted he sold it to you i sure you could get him to say it again on tape if you played it right. Good luck with the punk.

Haha I thought about it but like I said I live in a small town. If someone does anything everyone knows about I gave the amp back to my buddy and told the other kid if I don't get my money back shit will hit the fan. If he doesn't give it back I will be pissed probably beat his ass but overall everyone in my town knows he did it and he won't get treated the same.
I am a big believer in what goes around comes around.

my buddy bought it used at a swap meet so he doesn't have a receipt.
