$20,000 invested! Idk man, that's an amazing amount of cash to dump.

i could see it easy with maintenance stuff and labor rates. not hard to do over the course of a few or more years.

Those Buschur longblocks aint cheap ;)... he's got a pretty extensive list of stuf but i doubt 20k as well.. $3400 turbo setup on one of those cheap hx turbos? WTF

Hell i havent even spent that much yet...

$20K in mods eh? Sounds about right to me; although my wife still thinks it's over the top.

A twelve year old car that's fun to drive is easily worth $20K. The problem is when you tire of driving the car you can only sell it for what someone else will pay. In cash.

For 20k you would think the engine bay would be cleaner. Organization and appearance is how you sell a car of this magnitude.

Labor rates eh? If he included that as part of the 20k, thats kind of shady...

That could easily be 20k. I have added up to 19k into mine. When your talking, paint, wheels and tires, suspension. Shit adds up quick. Anyone will be suprised to find out how much money they have in their car.

It depends a lot if he did the labor himself. I've got atleast $6-7k into my car and I've done everything myself besides machine work. I've bought a lot of parts from friends also. He's probably including new parts (retail costs), labor, the bodykit, paint, wheels/tires, cf hood, and lambo doors in that 20k. $20k is a lot of money but if your careless with your money it can be dumped fast.

$3400 turbo setup on one of those cheap hx turbos?
Yeah, something's wrong with this picture.

Even if you buy a NEW HX35 and put it into a NEW BEP housing, you're still sitting right around $1000 for the turbo and the housing. What's left? The manifold doesn't look that amazing...probably a SBR cast unit for $250. I can't view the o2 housing in the pics, but it's probably nothing fancy.

This sounds like severe exaggeration on the seller's behalf.

That car just wont sell. I've been seeing it on and off for a while on the web trying to sell. He's probably just trying to pump it up so it looks like a great deal.

True, it doesnt look like $20k, but thats not to say it doesnt have it in it. Just a poor representation of a dsm.

look at the interior, and ex, and engine mods thats an easy 20g depending on where he got it done at

You also have to look at the fact he is only selling it for 5500 so i mean either way for a clean 2g that isnt a bad price.

Hopefully. Well, at least for the sake of another Dsm if Alex were to turn the Vents orange.

That car is nowhere near being worth $20,000.

I could build a car that could get into the 8's with 20k no labor. But i don't have 20k

Unless hes a damned retard and payed some like $6000 to build and swap a motor. Ganked on a paint job for like $3000, ganked on some rims for like $1000, payed full price for all his boltons including suspension and then payed for someone to install everything, including turbo and tune.

Thats a lot in labor.

well now, 20k in mods is one thing. 20k invested in another. i most likely have that much invested aswell since i bought the car in 1993 from the dealership...but than again id never go around telling people that.
