Looking Back at Some Great Memories

Here is my winter 08-09 eclipse build. it was a 1999 Mitsubishi Eclipse RS, really bad shape when i bought it down close to Chicago. Bought it was a bad head gasket and a spun rod, for 600$, spent the whole winter and beginning of spring to rebuild the entire car. Now she is gone and i got my GSX. havent looked at these pics for about 2 months and now looking back i miss it. Myself (16 years old) and my dad built the engine, body, and interior by ourselves. Tell me what you guys think?

Do you have any idea on how much it will cost to have insurance on a gsx being a teenager. No trying to burst you bubble but you might want to look into that. They have the same insurance rates as a porshe boxter.

parents signed the title and insured it. im not stupid u kno... but i saw the insurence if i did sign it 1350$

Hell yeah. My first car was a 1st gen AWD TSI and my rents were like.. maybe we shouldn't have to buy that car.... But my insurance is on a '89 ford taurus.. although the one time i got pulled over in the Talon the cop was like "who car is this" (as he was looking at my insurance card) I was like "mine", then he looked up at me funny and I was like "oh yeah this is my parents car".... end of discussion, until he pulled me out of my car and patted me down and searched my car... bastard.

idk i went crazy and posted it all over craigslist in Milwaukee and surrounding areas. posted it so much i was banned from posting for a week. but i sold it, the bad thing was that it had a very bad idle. would jump from 100-1500 rpm's. but i sold it for 3600 and bought my gsx for 3600 :]]]]

you kids get off easy. I had to pay for my car and insurance under my name. Makes you learn not to beat the holy hell out of things and to think twice when you have an idiot next to you.

not all us kids get off lucky, i had to pay for mine in my name since i was 17 now am 21. do you know how hard that was back when i was 17. try havin a 94 z28 convertable at 17 not gunna lie did not care car was great till i blew it up still sittin waitin for a motor and trans just puttin all my money into the gsx hole diff story. But i am still paying just about 2200 a year for my gsx and thats lower then what i was payin for my camaro, and thats just liability and its a 91, 9 points will do that to ya though my fault . they were a fun 9 points.
