Help recovering Stolen Gun!

Well about 10 years ago my crackhead roomate stole 3 of my guns when we kicked him out of the house.

That was in 95.........


Well today the local P.D. calls me and tells me they have recovered my Pistol in ohio, and that I could get it back shortly.

I was beside myself with joy!!! That was my first handgun and I thought it was gone forever.

The officer tells me there still trying to get some info, but that they will call me back as soon as everythings straight.

An hour later they call back to tell me it was used in a crime that the guy was running a meth lab and that it's evidence in a case. Now there tellin me could be two years before I see the gun I have been deprived of already for 10 years. Is this true? Can they really keep my gun that long? I was told by the officer that he was pulled over for a traffic stop and my pistol was in the car. How could it go fro traffic stop to running a meth lab?

I WANT MY GUN BACK!!!!!!! PLZ HELP!!!

Any legal advice to get it back faster would be great.

If its evidence, I wouldn't plan on seeing it anytime soon. But if it helps get the douche bag off the street, then it might be worth it in the long run. At least to the rest of us. If you can convince them you need it for protection, maybe they could loan you one.

If the guy was runnin a meth lab I doubt my pistol will make that much of a diffrence in the case.

I mean do you realize the type of chemicals you need to make meth?

Not really somthin you can just says for around the house rust remover.

I got a friend whos son was caught with just 3 of the chemicals needed for makeing meth and he's lookin at 15 years.

Then its a vital piece of evidence. With out that gun they would have no right to search his house. But this is all speculation... who knows unless you can find out more about the case. But either way, evidence is evidence.

He more than likely had a sizeable amount of Methamphetamine in the vehicle with him, which led the local PD to get a Warrant to search his residence.

Don't plan on seeing the handgun anytime soon. If it's classified as evidence, it will be held until the trial is over. Just keep calling them asking status of the trial and what not.

I'm glad that (eventually) you will have your handgun back though. I doubt it will take two years, but then again, this IS America.

Guns used in crimes here are ground up. Legal? They don't give a shit. Guns are bad and nasty things.
